This is the third entry in Budget Picks’ complete-build format, one full step up from the mid-range tier: a true X3D gaming CPU, a genuine current-generation RTX 4080 Super, and a dedicated liquid cooler instead of a bundled one. Every part below was checked against its own official specs and against the others in this list, not assumed compatible because the individual pieces are all reputable brands.

Why these parts fit together

The CPU and motherboard share the AM5 socket, and the motherboard’s own listing confirms stable DDR5-6000 operation with AMD EXPO on a two-DIMM kit, which is exactly the RAM speed and profile picked here. The graphics card measures 342mm end to end against a case rated for up to 410mm, and the 360mm liquid cooler matches the case’s top radiator mount exactly rather than being oversized or undersized for it. The 1000W power supply clears the GPU manufacturer’s own 850W recommendation with real margin once the CPU’s draw is factored in, and Corsair’s own listed unit length fits comfortably under the case’s power supply allowance.

Where the money actually goes

The graphics card is by far the largest single line item in this build, and that’s deliberate at the premium tier: an RTX 4080 Super is a genuine current-generation high-end card, not a previous-generation substitute wearing a premium price tag. The CPU is the other place spending shows up clearly, an X3D chip costs more than a standard Ryzen 7 partly because it doesn’t include a cooler in the box, which is why a dedicated 360mm AIO is its own line item here instead of being assumed free.

Getting the cosmic blue-and-purple look without extra spending

The case’s two front ARGB fans and the liquid cooler’s pump cap both default to addressable lighting that reads as blue-to-purple without any custom curve set up. The RAM’s RGB top bars pick up the same palette rather than adding a mismatched third lighting zone, and the motherboard’s RGB Fusion header can sync all three to the same static color family if you want everything locked rather than cycling.
