Four forest volumes in, this desk has a mushroom night light, a carved owl, a trinket dish and a pair of wood cable boxes. Most of the recent picks sit still and look the part. Few of them charge anything, play anything out loud or keep a real plant going.

That’s the gap this volume goes after, following the same turn Ocean, Space, Cyberpunk and Pastel already made for their own Vol. 5 lists. Every pick here does a job first and wears the palette second, and forest is the fifth theme to get this practical fifth volume.

Wood and green instead of a color wash

The other four Vol. 5 lists solved the same problem: useful desk objects are almost always black or white, so blue, purple or pink versions have to be tracked down as exceptions rather than defaults. Forest gets an easier path. Wood grain already reads as neutral on almost any desk, and a handful of genuinely useful objects come in a plain green finish without much searching. That’s why the charger leans on a bamboo base rather than a painted shell, and why the speaker and the humidifier are simply sold in green.

What’s new to this combination

The speaker and the humidifier haven’t shown up in a forest roundup before. Vol. 4 stayed close to decor and raw materials: a night light, an owl, a dish, a cable box, a coaster set, a macrame hanger. None of it played music out loud or moved air. The speaker fills that gap with the same reasoning Pastel Vol. 5 used for its own pick: cordless placement anywhere on the desk, styled to disappear into the theme rather than announce itself as electronics.

The humidifier follows Pastel Vol. 5’s swap from a desk fan to a small humidifier, just in green instead of pink. A little ambient moisture suits a desk built around wood and leaf tones better than a spinning plastic blade usually does.

What carries the thread from the other four

The charger, the clock, the organizer and the planters keep the shape the other Vol. 5 lists established. The clock holds a fixed green display rather than cycling through several colors, the same choice Ocean and Space made for their own clocks: a display that loops through a rainbow spends most of the evening off-palette. The mesh organizer takes over the job the wood cable boxes handled in Vol. 4, just for loose objects instead of cords.

The planters close the list out the way they have in every Vol. 5 release so far. A plant is the only object here that looks different next month than it does today, whether the pots around it are green, pink or teal.

These picks are chosen based on their specs and color: this is the combination we’d expect to look good together. Treat it as a starting point for your own setup.

DYEWEAVE Bamboo 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station, MagSafe Compatible

A 3-in-1 charging station built from bamboo instead of the black or white plastic most competitors default to. The phone snaps onto a MagSafe-compatible pad at up to 15W, with a slot for AirPods and a retractable stand for an Apple Watch beside it. A 20W adapter comes in the box, and the charging light fades out after about 10 seconds instead of glowing all night. The bamboo grain is the reason this sits on a forest desk instead of any other one. Like the chargers in Ocean, Space, Cyberpunk and Pastel Vol. 5, it removes clutter first and matches the palette second.

Tribit PocketGo Portable Bluetooth Speaker, Green

A compact Bluetooth speaker in a plain green finish, light enough at 220g to sit next to a keyboard without crowding it or to carry to another room. Its 2400mAh battery is rated for up to 20 hours of playback, so it can skip the charging cable for days at a stretch. An IP68 rating means a spilled drink or a freshly watered plant beside it isn't a problem, and Tribit's app adds a 6-band EQ for tuning the sound to a small room. None of the first four forest volumes included a speaker at all.

CandyHome 11-Inch Digital Wall Clock with Remote Control, Green

An 11-inch LED clock in green that rotates through the time, the date, the day of the week, the room temperature and the humidity instead of holding on one screen. A remote handles all the settings and 10 brightness levels, so nothing needs to be reached across a keyboard at night. A built-in sensor can also dim the display on its own as the room gets dark. It has to stay plugged in to run and the power adapter isn't included, so check for a spare one before ordering. It can hang on the wall or stand on the desk.

UNVARYSAM Green Desk Organizer, Mesh Drawer Storage with 6 Compartments

A green metal mesh caddy with six open compartments and a small pull-out drawer, built for the small stuff that has nowhere else to go: stray screws from a keyboard mod, a spare cable, a charging brick. The mesh keeps it light without bending under a full load, and it lets you see into each compartment without digging. The drawer keeps anything you'd rather not see out of sight without leaving the desk. This is the piece doing the job the wood cable boxes did in Vol. 4, just for loose objects instead of cords.

MOVTIP Portable Mini Humidifier, 500ml, Green

A small USB humidifier in green rather than the usual white plastic, with a 500ml tank in a body under four inches wide. One button switches between continuous mist for about 6 hours and intermittent mist for about 12, and a water-level sensor shuts it off when the tank runs low. It has no battery, so it stays plugged into a USB port the whole time it runs. The cotton wick wants plain tap water, not essential oils or distilled water. Pastel Vol. 5 made the same swap from a desk fan to a humidifier, and this volume follows that logic in green instead of pink.

Set of 2 Ceramic Green Plant Pots with Drainage Holes and Saucers

Two small ceramic pots in forest green with a white floral pattern, each with a drainage hole and its own matching saucer. At about 4.7 and 4.1 inches across, they fit a herb or a succulent on a desk corner without crowding a monitor stand. The drainage hole matters more than the glaze does. A planter without one either needs a liner or slowly drowns whatever's inside it. As in the last four Vol. 5 lists, this is the one pick that looks different next month than it does today.
